THE GIST
XPLORE Disruptors gathers founders, engineers, investors and institutions in one room. Why Lognetics convenes it, and what it is for.
A perspective from Lognetics Editorial · 2 min readAn ecosystem needs a meeting place
Technology ecosystems are not built by companies alone. They are built by proximity: a founder meeting the investor who understands their market, an engineer finding the team worth joining, a ministry official seeing a working system rather than a slide about one.
That proximity does not happen by default across a continent this large. XPLORE Disruptors exists to manufacture it deliberately, once a year, in one room. It is convened by Lognetics and described as the largest tech festival in Africa, bringing startups, developers, corporate executives, government officials, investors and thought leaders together from across the continent and beyond.
The 2025 edition was held on 14 November 2025 at the Abuja Velodrome in Kunkwaba, Federal Capital Territory.

What actually happens there
The programme is built around consequence rather than panels. Founders pitch live, with the prospect of funding, visibility and direct access to investors, mentors and media. Exhibition floors put working products in front of people who can buy or deploy them. Sessions bring engineering practice into the open rather than keeping it inside individual companies.
The festival has drawn endorsement from Nigerian federal ministries and partnerships spanning international organisations, development agencies, venture firms and multinational companies, which matters because policy, capital and engineering rarely sit in the same room long enough to understand one another.
Coverage in the Nigerian technology press has framed the question directly: whether XPLORE is creating the next wave of technology on the continent. We would rather be judged on what comes out of the room than on how full it was.

Why a technology company convenes a festival
It is a fair question. Lognetics builds AI, software and robotics. Running a festival is not obviously adjacent to that.
The answer is that the constraint on African technology has rarely been talent. It has been connection: brilliant engineers who never meet the capital, capital that never sees the engineering, institutions that never encounter either until a procurement cycle forces it. Building products into that gap only goes so far.
So Lognetics builds the technology, and XPLORE builds the ecosystem around the people creating it. One company, two kinds of infrastructure.
