Physical intelligence is the third dimension of the NETICS platform and the longest-horizon work in the company. It is where an intelligent system stops describing the world and starts acting in it, through perception, manipulation, wearables and humanoid systems.
Lognetics has publicly set out its intention to unveil a humanoid AI robot under the NETICS name, positioned around cognitive capability with applications in education, household assistance and healthcare. We would rather describe that programme accurately than promise a date we cannot hold.
We also think building this here is an advantage rather than a disadvantage. A machine engineered from the outset for intermittent power, variable connectivity and improvised environments is solving the harder version of the problem, and systems built for the harder version tend to work in the easier one.

Vision and sensor fusion for environments that are cluttered, badly lit and rearranged constantly by the people living and working in them.

Handling unfamiliar objects of unknown weight without crushing or dropping them, which remains one of the genuinely open problems in the field.

Operating across a working day rather than a demonstration, with as much intelligence as possible running on the device rather than depending on a connection.

Failing safely every time, and behaving predictably enough that the people sharing a space with the machine can anticipate what it will do.

Questions we are asked
- Is the NETICS humanoid robot available now?
- No. It is a research and engineering programme. Lognetics has publicly announced its intention to unveil a humanoid AI robot under the NETICS name, and we describe it as in development rather than available, because hardware timelines deserve honesty.
- Can we commission robotics work today?
- Applied work, yes. Computer vision, perception, autonomous systems and edge inference are available as engineering engagements now. Humanoid systems remain a research programme rather than a product you can order.
- Why build robotics in Africa?
- Because the constraints are instructive and the needs are different. A robot conceived as an educational aid, household helper and healthcare assistant for this continent will be shaped by requirements that are not currently at the centre of the field, which is usually where genuinely new engineering begins.
